Injury updates: Ronaldo, Benzema, Jesé | April 27, 2016

Cristiano Ronaldo 
After picking up what appears to be a new thigh injury, he got a second opinion (apparently without notifying the club) at Ruber International. A scan reportedly showed a small tear, which would practically rule him out for next Wednesday’s match. However, he is set to receive stem cell treatment to boost his recovery.

Karim Benzema 
He came off at halftime on Tuesday with a hip issue and is not expected to make it for Saturday’s match against La Real. The club’s medical staff have prescribed him rest in hopes that he can attempt a comeback for the UCL semi-final second leg. Regardless, Benzema will have more tests done on Thursday to diagnose his injury.

Jesé Rodríguez 
He finished Tuesday’s match with a knock to his shin. He will more than likely sit out this weekend’s match at Anoeta so that he can return for the home leg against City next Wednesday.
